Baby Names

So, in continuation of my dreams, the thought of baby names came to me. I personally do not have kids right now. I would prefer to wait a while before doing this. But I've always wanted one child - a baby boy. But because of reality, I know that having a girl might happen. So, this blog is about baby girl and baby boy names.

I believe that a baby name needs to be thought about in great detail, because this name will be with this person, for the rest of their lives. My biggest thing is ensure that most people can pronounce the name - this is huge to a child when growing up. Kids in elementary school, and high school, can be very mean and make fun of people’s names. Also, the name would have to have some special meaning.

If I have a boy, I would name him Nikoyan (pronounced Nick-o-yan). I believe this name is unique and can be shortened to the name Nick, while in school. The will prevent children from name calling, and he would be able to use his legal name later on in life if he chose to, or just on legal paperwork. The name is special to me because it is a different spin on the name Nicholas.

If I have a girl, I would name her Darla-Lilith. I think this name is different enough, to stand out, however is very easy to spell and pronounce. In school, she could go by Darla only, to make life easier. Lilith could also be shorten down to become Lily if she wanted to go her only the second half of her name.

Since I've been blabbing myself, I figured you may actually want to look up some baby names too. CNN.com made an article about the top baby names for 2013, and the site Parenting.com is a great site for finding out unique baby names. You can view names that never go out of style, one-syllable names, unisex names, celebrity names, and even build-a-name to literally see how the name will look when written later on in your child’s life.

Dream Wedding Reception

After having the wedding in Italy, I would feel obligated to have a wedding reception locally for all my friends and family to attend. My dream would be to have a traditional reception with a gothic theme. I would like a completely different atmosphere. Plus Victorian/Gothic themes are unusual and unique.

I would like to have the reception in the fall, outside – probably in early October, so it is not cold outside yet. It would be outdoors, under a large tent, with large hall beside it, just in case the weather istoo bad outside. It would be also by a man-made lake/pond or a cemetery. The color scheme I would be purple, black and white. I would not wear the wedding dress, but rather a reception dress.

The dress would be dark purple with black lace and a white ribbon . Similar to the dress seem below. Only I would have the top be a corset type, and the bottom, more flowing.

The flowers would be white lilies, dark purple orchids and black feathers. These would be place on every table and around the tent. The tables would be rectangular and seat 6 persons comfortably. I would want mirror table top and gothic style candles to keep the mood lighting into the night. The menu would consist of authentic Thai, Italian, or Caribbean foods. A waiter would take your order and serve it to you. I would like guests to have the experience of fine wines and high class liquors.
.

The wedding cake would be of the modern style, with a white cake, with black patterns, on the edges. Also garnished with dark purple orchid flowers. It would be very similar to the picture.

There would a live band that can play both classical and modern music. Each guest would receive a martini glass with a candle inside, gift wrapped in clear paper with blank lace, and tied with a purple bow. I would want people to remember the experience of this reception.

Dream Wedding

A dream wedding is a magical fantasy of what your perfect day would be. People sometimes want everything exactly how they wished for and are extremely detailed. While others are more open to different ideas. However, to actually achieve your perfect day, it requires a lot of planning.
At this point in my life, a few of my friends have been getting married, which has made me think about what I really would want if I chose to get married . Some things that I hadn’t thought about before is how many different dress styles, social events, social acceptance of venue and different atmosphere views that need to be considered when planning an event.  For this reason, wedding planners exist.
Personally, for my dream wedding, I would use a wedding planner along with informing this person that I want some control in regards to some details. I thought about a bunch of things I would want.
My dream wedding would be in Italy in a medieval castle with a view of the countryside or the ocean. It would be a small wedding as I plan on flying in people. I thought about having a small reception at the castle a night, to experience the beauty and feel of the castle. An authentic Italian meal would be amazing.

I would also have a large reception locally when coming back from wedding, as to allow friends and other guests to enjoy the celebration with me. I know that I would want the guests that could not join me in Italy, to still experience a semi-medieval yet elegant atmosphere. I do not know how to successfully to this without a wedding planner. Next week, I will look into this.
